Project Overview:
"The Graphic Designer" is a passion project that began as an illustrated poster representing the tools, skills, and mindset of a graphic designer. The concept expanded into a merchandise collection that includes a set of stickers derived from the poster’s illustrations and a tote bag featuring the design. The project explores how a single visual idea can adapt across different products while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic through consistent sketches, composition, and color palette.
Problem: While designing the poster, it became clear that a single illustration wasn’t enough to fully express the many facets of a graphic designer’s experience. The challenge was finding a way to extend the design’s impact beyond the poster format and create something more personal and versatile.
Solution: To address this, I identified key elements from the poster and developed them into a cohesive sticker collection. This allowed each important aspect of the graphic design journey to be represented individually, making the concept more relatable and wearable. I decided to take a step further and apply the graphics in different ways, including adding them to a tote bag and sweatshirt. By doing so, the project evolved from a static poster into a dynamic merchandise collection that reflects creative freedom and personal expression.
