Team Mascot: The Snail Kite
The Miami Glades team mascot is inspired by the Snail Kite, a bird native to the Florida Everglades. The Snail Kite was chosen for its strong connection to the local environment, symbolizing agility, focus, and resilience, qualities that reflect the spirit of the team. By highlighting a native species, the mascot also celebrates regional wildlife and reinforces the team’s identity as deeply rooted in the culture and ecology of Miami and the Everglades.
